We switched to Village after our longtime mechanic retired, and we've been very happy with them. They've rebuilt a transmission for us and done other non-transmission work, as well. Great follow-up and guarantees of service. Reasonable prices. Highly recommend.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review! We look forward to servicing your vehicle again in the future Zhenya.

My car has been through some ordeals this year, and the staff here have treated me with such kindness through this stressful time. Tyler at the service desk is a rock star of explaining things without talking down and generally making a very stressful experience a lot less so. Curt, whom I believe is the service manager, also took so much time to make sure they got to the root of the problem and kept me updated as things progressed. They clearly put a lot of themselves into their work, and take it personally when something goes wrong. There's a pride and a desire to do more than the bare minimum, even going so far as to give me a lift home so I didn't have to add the cost of a car service to what I was paying for my repairs.

Heather, Thank you for your kind words. Auto Repair is a very challenging business. We appreciate you bringing us your Scion XB and trusting us to do the engine repairs. We look forward to serving you again.

I guess the third time is the charm. But at least they made it right.

Like the human body, today's vehicles are extremely complex. We have a rock solid warranty program - the best in the industry. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to "make it right." Our reputation is paramount, and we will always do right by our customers.

My reason for going was a buyer's inspection. If you're considering doing that here, go somewhere else. As they say, they are VERY thorough. It took two and a half hours from giving them the keys to finishing the inspection. They seemed to know what they were doing as far as the actual inspection went, but the way they presented the information they gathered was unnecessary, convoluted and again took way too long to get through. They basically had a TV screen that showed an intensely rigorous checklist of every single thing that could possibly be wrong about the vehicle, complete with, in one instance, a video that the technician had taken in the shop. At some points, the person going through the list with me was actually adding and coloring circles and arrows to point to things that were bad or good. I asked for a print-out just to get out of the place and they gave me a nearly inch-thick stack of pages. When I got back to the dealer, I couldn't even find the relevant information in the first few pages so I just gave up. Maybe if you're buying a very expensive car, you would want this kind of detail, but not for a 6k Subaru.

Dear Tristan, I am sorry that our thorough buyer's inspection was too much information for you. This is the first time we have ever received this feedback. Most customers really appreciate our thorough and detailed buyer's inspections with color photographs. I wish you would have asked us for help if you needed it - our door is always open. Thank you for your feedback.

I had a bad alternator. They diagnosed it and replaced alternator and serpentine belt. Next day it started making a noise. Had to return to get belt adjusted. This is something that should have been caught before going out the door.

Dear Robert, Alternator belts are designed to last a very long time. Therefore the rubber is very thick and strong. When they are brand new, they sometimes have a short "break-in" period, then they loosen up just a bit. It is not unusual that sometimes a new belt may need a minor tightening adjustment after the short break-in period. We did not charge anything for the second visit. Thank you for your feedback.

I am extremely satisfied with the quality of service and work that Curtis and his crew did on my Camry recently. I have never been witness to this level of honesty, integrity and professional expertise by any other auto repair shop, including dealerships, in my life and I have been around a long time. So if anyone has been searching for a reputable quality repair shop in the north end, look no further than Village Transmission and Auto Clinic. These guys are the Real Deal.

Lance, your words mean a lot to us. Thank you so much for your review!
