You get what pay for, and that is quality service! These guys know their stuff and don't beat around the bush like a lot of the other local car repair shops you see in and around Edmonds. Even though you may find lower prices elsewhere, they are still competitive and do high quality work. They gave me some great advice and will probably save me money in the long run. They're crew are all friendly and they accommodated me in every way. Thank you guys for the great checkout and helping me establish a game plan for my vehicle! UPDATE: 10/14/15 Just got the some engine oil seals replaced and they found some other parts damaged due to leaking oil. The mechanic saved me a ton of money by offering to provide the labor for free and charged me just for the parts needed saving me over $400 worth of labor cost. Engine runs smoother and now I have peace of mind while out and about!

A problem that ended well. Early this year I took my old '72 Dodge pickup in to VT&AC for some TLC. This included hose and belt replacement, radiator flush, tune up, and replaced some old gaskets. They called and said I needed a new brake master cylinder. They did the work and shortly there after, I started to have some brake dragging problems when the truck warmed up. I took it back twice for them to figure out. They said the problem was not with the master cylinder and I should take the truck back to the brake shop that had replaced the brakes and wheel cylinders 6 months earlier. I did and they discovered in about 10 minutes that the wrong master cylinder had been installed. The VT&AC tech did not notice the minor visual difference between a master cylinder intended for manual brakes and one that was intended for power brakes. To be fair, this truck was 20 years old when the technician was born so this was an oddball case. I had the master cylinder replaced by the first brake shop and the truck works great now. I met with David at VT&AC about the matter. He gave me a check that covered the full price for the other shop replacing the master cylinder. I can't ask for better than that. I'll keep using VT&AC for general service but I'll keep a closer eye on the oddball stuff. An honest and reputable service shop is hard to find. Village Transmission & Auto Clinic is honest.

I went to village with what I believed to be 2 problems, faulty spark plugs and a slipping transmission. I was convinced that the truck needed transmission work and they told me that it was only spark plugs and coil wires that needed replacing. I kept insisting that the tranny needed work and they gently persuaded me to wait until the spark plugs and coil wires were changed. They were absolutely right about the problem and my tranny is OK. Bottom line is that a less honest shop would have "worked" on the tranny and taken me for a few hundred dollars more. These guys diagnosed the problem, fixed it and provided great customer service and a loaner car. A+++. I'll always call these guys first from now on.

Very nice, they installed my aftermarket clutch and flywheel. The tech took the time to make sure the clutch pedal and all else felt good. As I was leaving I noticed they gave me an alignment, which made me smile. Would Recommend.

A great big THANK YOU to Village Transmission -- I forgot my my appointment, and came in two hours late, and they very cheerfully squeezed me in. Please, customers, don't do this to them if you can at all help it! But know that they provide excellent service and will do whatever they can to get the job done.

Very helpful and professional. I sent my wife to get the car worked on, but she was very impressed and felt like they explained things well, were very courteous, and overall did an awesome job. Have no problems recommending, and we'll be back. :)

This is good as it gets people! The staff at Village Transmission are TOPS in my book! They are pros at their job, attentive to their customers needs and compassionate for all that I needed. My 1991 motorhome needed a transmission. I was freaking out and Dave, went above and beyond for me and I would recommend this shop over all I have ever used. All employees from the telephone to the bookkeeper, Sharlene, have gone above and beyond my wildest dreams. I thank all of you for doing an excellent job for me. My experience is none other than perfect. So if you need any auto work done at all, they are an all-over shop and do an excellent job on all your auto needs.

I moved to the Edmonds area 2 years ago, June 2012. It is hard to trust an automotive repair shop, especially as a single woman. It was so refreshing that Village inspected my car every time I came just for an oil change. They never tried to push expensive repairs on me. They explained things in a clear and simple matter, and even showed me at my car. I am so glad that I met friendly people, who explain things clearly and simply. It is important to trust.

I have a 2009 Audi A3 Quattro that was ready for its 35K service. I bought the car used, and Audi warranty no longer covers service updates. For this car, the service recommends replacing several pretty expensive fluids, and Audi shops are notoriously pricy for their work. Village Auto tested all of the fluids first to see which truly needed replacing, and found that most of them were still in great shape. They could easily have told me I needed to replace everything, and the bill would've been $800+. Instead, I got out of there for about $300. They even did a full inspection at a reduced rate since I was also getting an oil change. I can see why so many people recommend them, and will definitely be going back.
